Lekotek of Georgia

Disabilities: ALL

What: 1 on 1 play sessions for you and your child(ren). Teaches parents how to work best with children using typical and adapted toys to build skills in areas your child needs. Toys are then loaned to parents for one month. They also have support groups.

Cost: There is an annual program fee and scholarships are available.

Gigi’s Playhouse

Disabilities: Down Syndrome

What: Free therapy every week for young children, playgroups, parent education classes, art classes & music.

Cost: None (donations accepted)

GRANTS for things your CHILD NEEDS

 Kiddos Clubhouse Foundation

Disabilities: ALL

What: 4 times per year KCF gives away grants for kids who need therapy (speech, ABA, other) and specialize3d equipment. Grants range from a few hundred to several thousand dollars. Kids must live in Georgia, money paid directly to the providers or vendors.

Small Steps in Speech (SSIS)

Disabilities: ALL that have a speech disorder or delay involved

What: Grant money to pay for private speech therapy for your child, money paid directly to the providers or vendors.

Cost: FREE, no application fee.

The United Healthcare Foundation

Disabilities: ALL

What: Sizable grants for therapy and other medically necessary interventions not covered by your insurance.

Cost: Free, no application fee

Corrigan Care, Marietta

Disabilities: ALL and siblings, medically fragile children welcome, nursing care provided at no additional charge.

What: Respite care. Moms morning out (3 hours) every Wednesday from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm.

Cost: $25.00

FOCUS of Georgia

Disabilities: ALL that result in medically fragile outcomes or high stress for families (such as Autism, severe developmental delays, Down Syndrome, etc..) Not for mild learning disabilities.

What: Variety of services including parent education workshops, monthly free respite care, summer camps, support groups, and hospital visits.

Cost: Most are free, some workshops carry a nominal fee.

The Elaine Clark Center

Disabilities: ALL

What: Afternoon & Evening Respite Care ages 3-22 on Friday’s and Saturday’s only.

Cost: 4 hour time blocks, $10.00 per hour.

Cost: FREE, no application fee.
